Star Party!

Join us for an evening of star gazing with The Evergreen State College professor Rebecca Chamberlain, astronomy educator Shannon Pangalos-Scott, Saint Martin’s University professor Dr. Andrea Kunder, and local astronomers Richard Miles and Dennis Rech. We will gather in front of the Lacey Library at 9 PM, then walk to a location on the nearby Saint Martin’s University campus, where we will view astronomical features in a dark sky and learn star stories and astronomical information. Feel free to bring your own binoculars or telescope. In the event of cloudy skies or rain, indoor activities in the library meeting room will be provided. This event is part of the Summer Library Program, a Timberland Regional Library district-wide program.
